Monday 11th May: ShelterBox - 6.30pm at the Memorial Hall

Monday 11th May: ShelterBoxThe Scout Group is coming together to have an evening to raise awareness and funds for a charity called ShelterBox, with which the Scout Association has partnered.

The ShelterBox Trust is a registered UK charity that provides emergency aid for victims of natural and other disasters anywhere in the world. As part of our evening we will be asking the children (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) to work together to build different types of shelters.

We are also hoping to raise some funds for the Charity by covering a picture of our Scouting emblem with pennies. For this evening we are intending to run Beavers from 6 – 7.30 pm, with the Cubs and Scouts arriving at 6.30 pm, to allow us sufficient time. We would be grateful if you could put aside any spare pennies (or other small coins) you get in your change over the next few weeks and give them to your child to bring along on the evening.

Many thanks
