Dear Cubs and Parents, The Cub leadership team are finding it harder to run the pack on their own. We all have work and family commitments that are becoming more demanding. In my case my husband (Den) has a slipped disc which is causing him a lot of pain and at the moment he is unable to move without the aid of crutches. Den has always helped and supported me in my role as Akela and I no longer have his help putting the activities together that I do to make pack nights run smoothly and are fun for the cubs. Avril has increased her hours at work and Andy's job will be taking him out of the country a lot over the next few months so we really need some parents to step up and help out please. Avril and I have put together a programme to run up to Easter and we are asking for volunteers to help in any way they can. If you are intersted in craft we will be decorating plant pots and making fridge magnets. One night we need help with making popcorn. Our Spring Programme is shown on this page so if you see an evening that you fancy helping out on please contact me on 890685 or email me on lindencrawford@tiscali.co.uk. This can be found under Scouts/Documents. For Tuesday 12th January can scouts please bring their Pinewood Derby Cars and drawings for a pre-check before race night on the 19th January. |

| Scouts 1st Night - Wednesday 6th January 2010 |

This is just a reminder that the scouts first night back after Christmas is Wednesday 6th January (NOT Tuesday 5th). The Troop will be going to visit the Mosque in Huntingdon. Transport is provided. Please meet at Alconbury Memorial Hall at 7pm.
